Gót Chân Lữ Thứ
MẠC PHƯƠNG ĐÌNH
Ừ nhỉ, buổi chiều sao vắng tanh
Buổi chiều lặng lẽ mảnh trời xanh
Dường như vừa có đôi chim nhỏ
Chiêm chiếp vài câu bản nhạc tình
Ừ nhỉ, mùa xuân sắp trở về
Hiên nào thấp thoáng bóng hoa lê
Mùa xuân tưởng tiếc không quay lại
Dáng vẻ còn đau một chút quê
Ừ nhỉ, ngày đông đang bỏ đi
Năm xưa đêm rũ bóng tinh kỳ
Ai chôn đau đớn vào quên lãng
Để lạnh cô đơn một đóa quỳ
Ừ nhỉ, một ngày như mọi ngày
Sao hồn như thoáng chút hương bay
Bên sông con én khoe màu cánh
Hạt bụi nào vương trong mắt cay
Ừ nhỉ, buổi chiều cùng buổi chiều
Nắng vàng bóng nhỏ cũng xanh rêu
Nghe xuân về nhuộm trên màu tóc
Lữ thứ bàn chân cũng tịch liêu

The Traveler’s Heels Abroad
English Version By NGUYEN HUU LY
Oh, yes! Why’s this evening quite deserted?
Such a silent evening under this patch of blue sky
It seems that there is just a pair of young birds
Cheeping a few musical phrases of a love song
Oh, yes! Spring is about to come back
What verandah has the pear flower shade appeared vaguely?
Regrettably, spring seems no longer return
Due to a bit of native land, it still appears outwardly heart-breaking
Oh, yes! Winter is on the way out
A shadow of the flag was flying at half-mast in years of yore at a night-time
Who did bury this sufferance into oblivion?
To bad the sunflower a cold and lonesome fate
Oh, yes! Everyday is like the day before
Why does the mind feel like a fleeting scent wafted abroad?
The swallow shows off its wings’ color along the river
What speck of dust is entangled in stinging eyes?
Oh, yes! Every evening is jus the same evening
A little shadow of the bright yellow sunshine also turns mossy-green
Hearing about the spring return would dye one’s hair
The traveler’s heels also become solitary in inns abroad
